Eyelure lashes

Today I wore some false eyelashes for the first time in months! I purchased a few packs from Superdrug when they were doing their 3 for 2 offer.
I normally stick to just wearing mascara, as I feel false lashes can make me look very over done, and make my eyes look too heavy. However, after trying these today, I may go false more often.
I am wearing eyelure naturalites in number 107. They are a beautiful full lash and give just the right amount of volume. These are also the first lashes that I haven't had to cut to make them fit my eye shape.
They come in at just over £5 per box, but as the can be reused if they are looked after, you can definitely get your money worth!

Winter nails!

I painted my nails in a very cute winter design today, and so I thought I would share my idea with you.
All you need to create this look is a clear base coat, a colour nail varnish of your choice, a silver glitter nail varnish and and optional chunky silver glitter nail polish.
I first applied the base coat to provide protection for my natural nails. Once this had dried I applied 2 coats of my coloured nail varnish . I chose to go with a pretty lilac colour by rimmel London 60 seconds 'how do you lilac it'. However any colour you choose will look good with this look. I applied two coats to make it opaque. Then taking my first silver glitter nail varnish ( collection 2000 194) I started to apply this at the base of my nail, gradually working my way up approximately 2/3 s if the way up. After this had dried I then applied some of my chunky silver glitter nail varnish ( barrym nail paint in silver glitter) one 3rd of the way up to add layers. Apply a top coat to seal the design and this is the look complete!
Such a simple and easy way to jazz up your nails for the festive season

OOTD! New video on my YouTube channel

Hey everyone! I've just uploaded a new video onto my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDi2VJo4pOw. The link to my channel is to the side of my posts. ----------->>>>

It is a very simple outfit, but I feel it makes quite a statement and is cute :)

My outfit consists of :

Plum purple circle skirt from primark purchased for £6 a couple of months ago. I love this skirt! The deep purple colour is perfect for the autumn/ winter season and its such am easy piece to dress up or down. I always feel very grown up and sophisticated when I wear it and its just makes me feel good!

Black sheer sleeveless blouse, purchased from newlook in the sale for £7. I love sheer blouses, and this one has some lovely lace detailing on the shoulders and across the back. Sheer blouses have definitely been one of my staple pieces of clothing in my wardrobe for a good few months now! Just can't get enough of them. I wore it tucked into my skirt, to give the outfit a nice tidy finish.

Black cardigan which I purchased from a Carboot sale for a whopping 50p!! Cardigans are an essential for me, especially when the weather begins to turn cold. This is just a simple, normal length, light knit cardigan purely to add warm, without looking bulky and keeping my outfit smart.

Black crop top purchased from newlook for £4.99. I layered this underneath my sheer blouse to add warmth and coverage. Sheer blouses look stunning on their own, but it's just too cold now!

Plain black tights from primark for £2.50. I put these with the outfit because the weather is cold! So just to add some warmth.

Black newlook pumps with gold stud detailing, purchased for £15.99. These are a lovely, comfortable pair of flats which go with pretty much any outfit. I decided to wear these with my outfit to keep it nice and girly. Not very warm or particularly practical for the winter months, but I wasn't going outside for long periods of time today.

The accessories and jewellery I wore today were some animal print hoops from newlook, a heart necklace which was a gift, a silver bangle with flower detailing which was again was a gift and my asos silver glittery purse purchased from a Carboot for £1.

To see the entire outfit, don't forget to head over to my YouTube channel and watch my video

Much love beauties! Xx

BB Cream Review

After months of not fully understanding exactly what a BB cream is, I have finally got round to purchacing one.

I was pursuaded  into parting with £6.99 of my hard earned money, when I wandered into my local Superdrug. They had a buy 2, get one free offer on, and so I chose the BB cream, along side a new primer and a concealer. Making the most out of the offer, I decided to pick up the Rimeel BB cream, instead of the lipliner that I had originally grabbed. This made the concealer my free product.
According to the desciption on the back of the tube, a BB Cream (beauty balm) is a 'skin perfecting super makeup!' It boasts that it does 9 different things for your skin, in just this one cream.

1. primes
2. moisturises
3. minimises pores
4. conceals
5. covers
6. smoothes
7. mattifies
8. brightens
9. helps protect

I got the Rimmel London BB cream in shade Light, which also comes with SPF 25. When I first applied the cream I wasn't really sure what to expect. I must admit, I wasn't immediately impressed. None the less, I applied the cream, instead of my usual 'wake me up foundation', and haven't gone back since! It is a much less heavy product, and feels very light and natural on my skin. I am very happy with the colour match, and it gives my skin a flawless finish. It is easy to apply, and blends in extremely well. To begin with, I was still applying my primer before using the BB cream, just as I would before applingy foundation. I no longer need to do this, as like it says on the tube, the cream primes too. I found if I did prime separately before hand, the BB cream didn't go on as smoothly, perhaps due to there being too much product already on my face!

The coverage is a bit lighter than a foundation, perhaps more like a tinted moisturiser. I have a very freckled face, and you are able to see them more now that I am only using the BB cream. It covers redness and blemishes, although I still use my concealer on occasion to help. I feel it adds that little extra colour and coverage that is required, without looking too overdone.

It lasts on my skin all day, and doesn't go patchy. It also has a nicer smell than my foundation.

Would I recommend it to a friend? Definitely.

Why I hadn't picked up one of these sooner, I don't know! I am very pleased and will be surprised if I go back to my foundation for some time!
